DIY Home Security – How to install a LockLatch

LockLatch is designed to fit onto any type of door or window regardless of the style or the material. However, the material the door is made from will determine the method of installation with one way screws for wood and certain metal doors and pop rivets used for metal, aluminum or PVC doors. For both types of installations the method is quick, simple and requires almost no DIY knowledge.

Tools you’ll need

LockLatch, PetLatch or MiniLatch installation is quick, simple and painless. All you will need is a drill and a screwdriver or pop rivet gun depending on the method of installation. If you are using the rivet installation method then please ensure your rivet gun has an external barrel diameter of 17mm or less to ensure it clears the D ring on the latch’s footplate.
